Can I close my laptop during a transfer?
Yes. Once your transfer starts, it runs on our servers. You can close your browser, turn off your computer, or disconnect from the internet. Come back to your dashboard to check its progress.
Which cloud services can I connect?
You can connect Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Box, Amazon S3, FTP, and SFTP. Choose a source and destination, then select the files or folders you want to move.
Do you need my cloud account password?
For Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, and Box, you authorize access through the provider’s own sign-in page using OAuth. MigrateClouds does not need your cloud account password. S3, FTP, and SFTP use their own connection credentials.
Can I move just a few folders?
Absolutely. Select individual files, specific folders, or an entire drive. For Google Drive, you can also use selective access to grant permission only to the items you choose.
What if some files fail to transfer?
Check the transfer report for failed files and the reasons they failed. You can use that information to resolve access issues and retry the items that need another attempt.
Is the free plan really free?
The free plan includes 30 GB of transfer quota every month. No credit card is required to create an account. Paid plans are available if you need a larger transfer quota.
